Data Privacy Statement

Jesus Shaped People (JSP) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of all personal data held and processed, and to compliance with all required UK and EU Data Protection legislation.
JSP’s data protection policy aims to ensure that data is accessed only by those with authority to use it, that the systems where data is held and manipulated are operating correctly, that information is accurate and complete, that permission to use such information for appropriate communication purposes has been gained, and that information is available only to those who have authorised access.

  1. Personal data that is held

    JSP will process and store information relevant to the training provision, website access, events, and activities of Jesus Shaped People. Such information may include:

    • First name
    • Last name
    • Email address(es)
    • Postal Address
    • Phone number(s)
    • Position held in diocese or similar body

    If an organisation provides us with the personal data of another person that is ‘Third Party Personal Data’, the organisation must confirm that they have consent to the processing of such personal data by JSP and that the organisation has informed the source of our identity and the purposes for which the personal data will be used.

  2. Who personal data may be shared with

    Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential. Sometimes, JSP may need to share the personal information with others including details of JSP events and activities. Where this is necessary we will only do this with your explicit consent, as is required to comply with all aspects of the relevant UK and EU Data Protection legislation.

  3. How personal data is stored

    All personal information held by JSP is processed and stored under the relevant UK and EU Data Protection legislation. It is stored on the hard drives of password-protected computers by members of the JSP Management Team.

  4. How personal data is obtained and transferred

    An individual’s information is recorded in a way that is as anonymous as possible, providing only sufficient information to enable JSP to utilise the information for communication purposes. Transfers are in full compliance with all aspects of relevant UK and EU Data Protection legislation.

  5. Retention of personal data

    JSP will only retain personal data in accordance with JSP retention schedules, for the purposes of continuing to provide relevant communications, or until an individual indicates otherwise. JSP will do this only with appropriate consent.

  6. The rights of individuals

    Individuals are entitled to ask for a copy of any personal data that we hold and to have any inaccuracies in personal data corrected or removed. To contact JSP regarding data privacy, please email the JSP Team Leader, whose contact details are on the web site.

  7. Review of Data Protection policy and compliance

    JSP Trustees will annually review JSP’s Data Protection policy, and ensure compliance with UK and EU Data Protection legislation.
