JSP became a Charitable Trust (‘C.I.O.’) in January 2017 An initial group of eleven Trustees have met regularly in the past two years to guide the future course of JSP. The Trustees seek to be ‘Jesus-Shaped’ in their leadership, and so have adopted Values, Principles, and Commitments that reflect this, such as:

  1. Priority for stimulating JSP’s growth in disadvantaged communities
  2. A no charge policy for churches that adopt JSP and use its resources.
  3. Care and support for our growing team of volunteers and staff members.
  4. A vibrant prayer focused approach to oversight of JSP development.

Bishop Paul Slater, Bishop of Kirkstall, is Chair of the Trustees. Bishop Paul comments: ‘I’m delighted to be working with a group of people who have great vision for the spiritual renewal and refreshing of the church today, particularly churches that serve communities where there is high social need and challenge, and where churches are often struggling to sustain their work. We have laid good foundations together in the past two years for sustainable growth of the work, and can look forward to JSP becoming ever more effective in the years ahead.
