A Cross for Holy Week
As our isolation has meant all regular routines for Holy Week have been disrupted, we were missing having a palm cross to display in our home this week. As we thought about other ways to celebrate Palm Sunday, I remembered that the children's resources for the the Cross Shaped Jesus programme include instructions for making a palm cross out of paper.
We made up a few yesterday afternoon, and delivered them to members of our small group during our regulation daily exercise, as a way of letting people know that we are still thinking about and praying for them, evn though our group has had to give up meeting. Perhaps you would fancy doing something similar as a family activity during Holy Week? We have a large grass plant in our garden, and the leaves of that worked as an excellent subsititue for palm if you want to try something a bit more creative!
If you want to give it a go, we've taken the instruction worksheet out of the members-only area of the web site and made it available to all.
