Thorpe Edge was one of the very first Jesus Shaped People Churches. Here we have two of the key people from the church speaking about their JSP experiences.
The next Jesus Shaped People is only a couple of months away, and it time to start making plans to come along!
It will be taking place on Sunday November 1st at All Saints, Horton. Of course November 1st is All Saints Day, which makes it especially apt that we are going to joining with the folks there for what is their special day.
As always, the Celebration will be a lively mix of teaching, worship, fellowship and prayer, wrapped around the theme of 'The Cloud of Witnesses'
It's not often that Jesus Shaped People makes the front page of a diocesan website - and especially when its not even our home diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales.
But that's what has happened this week as the Chester Diocese featured Jesus Shaped People on their home page. Here's an exerpt from their write up:
Following the recent visit to the Chester Diocese by the Jesus Shaped People team, plans are moving ahead to establish the programme in the diocese.
There has been considerable interest from an encouraging number of churches. Some are definitely looking to use the programme in the near future, whilst still more are thinking about coming on board over coming months.
Exciting news on the Jesus Shaped People front! At the invitation of Ian Rumsey and Richard Burton from the Chester Diocese Parish Development Team, we have introduced JSP into the Chester Diocese.
A few weeks ago, Ian and Richard came over to Bradford to meet with the JSP Team and discover more about the Jesus Shaped People adventure. It would be no exaggeration to say that they left excited and fired up! During the meeting, they invited the JSP team to come to the diocese to meet with a group of interested clergy and lay people.
